2014 Holiday Message

Hi everyone!

I’m continuing my new earth-friendly tradition of sharing holiday wishes and updates online instead of by paper. 🙂 And this year I’m kicking it up a notch by providing each of you access to a hypnotic program (very similar to a guided meditation) I’ve created to help manage stress. If you have any issues accessing it and are interested in listening to it, please let me know so we can try another way of getting the files to you (the link to it should have been in the same email that brought you the link to this page). I hope you’ll find it enjoyable and helpful! I truly hope you all have had a wonderful 2014 and I look forward to hearing from you.

So here’s my quick update:
As most of you know, I walked away from my job as a systems / human factors engineer at Harris Corporation back in mid-February to concentrate full time on my own business, which includes a hypnotherapy practice, educating people on essential oils, and coaching/training a skillset called the Connection Practice, which helps improve relationships, communication and even ability to focus and make better decisions. Much of what I do can be done over Skype or by phone, so even if you aren’t in the Melbourne area and are interested in some of what I do, let me know and we can set something up!
Although it’s been slow growth over most of this year for me, I’m still very happy with my decision and new life direction and things seem to be picking up lately so I’m very optimistic about what I’ll be able to do with my business in 2015! I’ve had some wonderful successes and testimonials from clients in the last few months, which just serve to reinforce that I’m happy to be doing what I’m doing now to help people! This has been a good year of learning the ropes of being self-employed, establishing my roots, and getting some good experience as a hypnotherapist and overall holistic health educator.
I’m excited that I’ll be one of the speakers at the annual IAIH conference (International Association of Interpersonal Hypnotherapists, the organization I’m certified through) in May and I’m planning to get some other public speaking opportunities as well. I’ve also just recently started to have a monthly class schedule established for the essential oils and I plan to start incorporating other topics into regular weekly informational sessions (self-hypnosis, guided meditation, etc). Sounds like I’ll have an opportunity to take the Connection Practice part of my business to local middle school children and possibly even the local jail. So there are several things brewing that I believe will be coming to fruition for me in the coming year! Seeing all the opportunity on the horizon has allowed me to even appreciate some of the slow times lately to give me more time to get myself better organized and prepared for liftoff!!

On the home front, Diesel (13 yo yellow lab) and Bailey (8 yo walker hound) are still healthy and doing well. I enjoy taking them for walks twice a day. Diesel continues to enthusiastically bark and jump (as much as a 70+ lb 13 yr old lab can) at every chance for a treat or walk. Bailey seems to like me using the essential oils on her… especially since they helped her get over a bladder/kidney infection when she refused to take the chewable anti-biotic prescribed by her vet! I haven’t been playing as much volleyball lately but I am still hitting the gym 4-5 days a week. I’ve put some weight back on with all the changes I’ve gone through in the last couple of years, but I’m ready to get serious about reversing that trend again as I settle in to my new life as a successful entrepreneur! I’ll be doing a new completely natural, whole-food based 10-day detox/cleanse in early January that I’ve heard a LOT of good things about, not only with kick-starting weight loss, but also resetting metabolism and overcoming food addictions (hopefully that will help me say no to Nutella and dark chocolate ;)). If you’re interested in how that turns out and might be interested in giving it a try yourself, drop me a line and I’ll keep you in the loop!

I sincerely wish each of you an amazing, happy, healthy 2015, and if there’s anything I can do to help you achieve that, please let me know!
Happy Holidays!
In Peace,
Jenny Battig
